Two new! Ingenious awards will be awarded in 2022 to celebrate individual Canadian leaders who have been significant disruptors in fostering Canada’s technological innovation to drive both national or regional prosperity – Public Sector Disruptor and the Canadian Tech Hall of Fame.
Canadian Tech Hall of Fame
This award will recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of one of Canada’s most distinguished technology leaders. A company founder or executive leader who has legacy and led / developed / founded a truly disruptive technology that has elevated Canada’s reputation as a technology leader on the global stage. We will honour their remarkable achievements throughout their career that have contributed to the economic development and legacy for Canada.
Eligibility: Must be a Canadian that has demonstrated both legacy and success within the Canadian technology sector.
Criteria
Need to be able to demonstrate a minimum 2 out of 5 of criteria:
- The individual developed technology that has impacted Canada’s national prosperity
- The individual developed technology that has changed the way citizens / SMEs / corporations do business
- The individual is a leader who has demonstrated the qualities necessary to ensure business success and competitiveness of Canada in a global marketplace.
- The individual has inspired Canada’s technology sector and future technology innovators with their record of unparalleled lifetime achievement. Exemplifies leadership, courage and success.
- The individual is a leader who has been recognized for demonstrating leadership characteristics conducive to building diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace communities.
Judging:
- For this inaugural Canadian Tech Hall of Fame award, nominations will be sourced and judged by their peers. Peers will include but not limited to the TECHNATION Ingenious Task Force committee members and members of the TECHNATION National Board Executive Committee.

Key Dates:
- Deadline to submit is August 15, 2022 at 11:59pm EDT
- Ingenious and CIO 50 Awards will be co-hosted, virtually on November 30, 2022
