Taking Canadian Health Tech Global: TECHNATION Drives Connections at HIMSS Europe 2026

From May 19-21, TECHNATION proudly led a Health Trade Mission to the HIMSS Europe 2026 Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark as part of our commitment to help Canadian health ICT companies expand globally, strengthen business development strategies, and access new international markets.

Eight TECHNATION members — Dogwood Health Consulting, GLASS, Healthtech Consultants, Kainos, MAXIMUS, Medirex Systems, Laroche Consulting, and TECTONIC Advisory Services — joined the delegation, engaging with a vibrant European digital health ecosystem. The mission kicked off with a warm welcome from the Trade Commissioners of Denmark, who hosted a coffee reception for the Canadian delegation. We extend our sincere thanks to Trade Commissioners Ingrid Després and Vickram Mangru, as well as to CanExport and Loida Lleonart at HIMSS Europe, for their support in making this mission a success.

Throughout the three-day conference, delegates connected with more than 2,000 stakeholders from health authorities and hospital C-suite leaders to clinicians, innovators, and health entrepreneurs and start-ups, gaining valuable insights and forging meaningful relationships. It was also fantastic to see a strong Canadian presence on the ground, including the Ontario Pavilion and its delegates, further showcasing Canada’s leadership in digital health.

Overall, HIMSS Europe 2026 offered an invaluable platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and global market exploration, reinforcing the strength and potential of Canada’s health technology sector on the international stage.
