Welcome to TECHNATION’s Calgary Wage Subsidy Program!

Ending in December 2025, we offered the Calgary Wage Subsidy Program, which provided substantial wage subsidies for tech-immersive placements. This program supported skill development in high-growth areas such as AI, cloud, data, cyber security, and software development while promoting growth and innovation for businesses in Calgary. Leveraging TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program, we provided up to 80% in wage subsidies for work placements between September 2024 and December 2025 (Fall ’24, Winter ’25, Summer ’25 and Fall ’25).

This initiative was funded by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF), the Government of Alberta’s Workforce Development Grant, and the Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program to foster innovation and growth in Calgary’s tech sector.
