Prior to joining Moneris, Angela was Group Executive at MasterCard Worldwide where she led the development of their global and SMB merchant strategies. Previously, Angela was President, Financial Institutions at Fifth Third Processing Solutions in Cincinnati and spent 13 years at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) within the Cards and Payments divisions. Effective March, 2020, Claudia was appointed as the Quality & Risk Lead for Accenture Canada. With more than 30 years of Consulting experience, Claudia is responsible for driving quality programs across all businesses and industries in Canada, while also monitoring and managing the risk profile of the overall Canadian business. Claudia brings her experiences from leading some of Accenture’s most complex engagements in Canada, working with clients in the transportation and logistics industry, financial services, and public services to this new role. Claudia is a member of Accenture’s Canadian Executive Committee.
Claudia lead Accenture’s Health and Public Service business across Canada for the past nine years. In this position, she was accountable for Accenture’s go-to-market strategy within the health and public service industry along with the top-line and bottom-line results. At the same time, Claudia was also the Managing Director, Inclusion & Diversity in Canada for 10 years. In this role she worked tirelessly to promote an inclusive and diverse workplace, to set

Steve Van Binsbergen leads the Public Sector business for Rogers Communications in Ontario. As the lead for the Strategy and Consulting Industry Practice for Public Service in Canada, Dave is responsible for Accenture’s team that implements solutions for government. Dave and his team provide expertise in areas such as Digital Service Design, Enterprise Value, Technology Advisory, Talent & Organization and Applied Intelligence. In Dave’s 25 years at Accenture, he has been able to work with clients and achieve business outcomes by bringing perspectives and solutions on the intersection of technology, data, insights, and digital services to enhance results for both citizens and employees.
The most successful organizations understand and leverage next generation digital solutions to support evolving organizational effectiveness in a business climate of continuous transformational change. Dave has consulted extensively across both private and public industries, helping Accenture’s clients with their most complex transformational initiatives, technology adoption, digital solutions and smart city strategies. Dave’s background in psychology and business strategy allows him to understand and apply the core concepts of human-centred design in the innovation and creation of services and solutions for some of Accenture’s largest clients in Canada.

Angela joins TECHNATION with over 25+ years of exceptional global and Canadian experience driving transformational programs in the tech sector. A visionary executive with a passion for leadership, Angela’s unique career path includes 10 years as a military officer and 18 years in senior level leadership roles in the tech and defence sectors, including as a strategic marketing director with BlackBerry, and a global solutions leader with Nortel Networks, where her team was responsible for delivering technology to over 127 countries. Angela’s career has taken her through leading and launching teams and technology in several continents, and dozens of countries.
Angela brings collaboration, energy and innovation to all her roles. As program creator of the public-private sector leadership forums “Strategic Knowledge Exchange” aimed at driving change on a national scale, Angela’s experience in developing strategic partnerships across national organizations and around the world, will support driving TECHNATION’s vision to influence Canada’s position as a global tech leader into the future.
Author of the leadership best-seller ‘Hit the Ground Leading!’, and award-winning founder of her own strategic leadership company, Angela has delivered programs and keynotes to companies and teams around the world. She has held positions as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Ivey School of Business, as EVP of Leadership with the International Women’s Forum, and as an Honorary Colonel of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace, Technology and Engineering.
