As Chief Procurement Officer, Lloyd leverages partner ecosystems to drive short and long-term value for TELUS to enable its continued success and continuous innovation. The goal is to create processes and infrastructure that are cost- effective and competitive, enabling TELUS to constantly meet the evolving needs of its millions of subscriber connections and future growth demands across a broad portfolio of solutions including: mobility and home; healthcare; security; enterprise connectivity and Internet of Things. Lloyd and his team are responsible for procurement and sourcing strategy, supply chain management and operations, and transforming the underlying processes and systems that support them.

A seasoned telecommunications executive, Lloyd has over 30 years of experience across the industry with equipment manufacturers, service providers and strategy consulting companies, including Nortel Networks, Deloitte, Strategos and two technology start-ups.

Lloyd holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and resides in Toronto. Lloyd puts his passion for his city, region and country into action and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Toronto Region Board of Trade and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council and is co-executive sponsor for TELUS’ LGBTQ resource group in Ontario.

Lisa Carroll

Partner, Deloitte Canada

Lisa is a Senior Business Executive with over 34 years experience in the Technology Industry in Canada. Her entire career has been partnering with Public Sector clients across the country to modernize, transform, innovate and adopt technology to meet their Mission of quality and trusted services to citizens and businesses. As a Partner at Deloitte, Lisa is working and advising on Digital Transformation, Procurement Reform, Cloud and AI adoption, as well as Sovereign and Diversified Technology Supply Chains.

The depth of her Public Sector experience spans the Federal Government, Provincial Governments, Healthcare, Municipal, Defence, Education. Prior to joining Deloitte, Lisa has been an executive in leading Technology companies, the most recent being: 5 years as the General Manager, Public Sector, at Microsoft Canada; and 15 years with CGI, where her last role was Senior Vice President of the business unit focused on Federal Government and leading Cybersecurity Practice for the country.

John Cousens

Managing Director of Public Sector, Google Canada

John Cousens is the Managing Director of Public Sector, Canada with Google. John is a Cloud industry veteran with experience in two cloud computing start-ups. He has over 20 years of senior management experience, with previous technology leaders. John has a passion for innovation, customers and hockey; all powered by an entrepreneurial heart. John is a native of the Ottawa valley, John is married to an amazing wife with two children that inspire him daily.

Walter Dann

Area Vice President, Oracle Canada

Walter Dann is the Area Vice President responsible for supporting the Canadian Public Sector and their journey to cloud.

Walter has been involved in Information Technology for over 25 years and has been a subject matter expert on Identity Management and Security and ran a successful security practice for MTS Allstream before joining Oracle. Walter started with Oracle as a security specialist 16 years ago. He then moved on to a Technology Account Manager role and covered the Science Portfolio, ESDC and PSPC and Shared Services Canada for 7 years before becoming the Regional Vice President for Oracle’s Federal and Quebec public sector business in 2016 and has been the Canadian AVP for Government, Education and Healthcare since 2020

Walter is a graduate of Dalhousie University and currently lives in Aylmer Quebec with his wife Amanda who are active members of the community where Walter was on the board of the local Figure Skating Club for 10 years, 8 of them as President.

Nicole Foster

Director, AWS Global AI/ML and Canada Public Policy, Amazon, AWS

Nicole Foster leads the direction and strategy of artificial intelligence public policy globally for Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as the company’s public policy efforts in support of the AWS business in Canada. In this role, she focuses on issues related to emerging technology, digital modernization, cloud computing, cyber security, data protection and privacy, government procurement, economic development, skilled immigration, workforce development, and renewable energy policy. Prior to joining Amazon in 2018, Nicole led the Toronto office for Global Public Affairs, providing senior public affairs counsel to clients.

Before joining Global in 2004, Nicole worked for a number of years in political roles in Ottawa. Nicole is the past National Chair of Equal Voice, a multi-partisan group dedicated to raising the issue of women’s under-representation in Canadian legislatures.

Ben Goldberg

Ben Goldberg is the Global Industry Lead for Health and Life Sciences at CGI, where he engages with teams around the world to help define, develop, and foster our role as technology partner for health and care organizations.

Ben has collaborated on global initiatives and works with internal and external stakeholders and business partners to bridge relationships and drive growth across sectors, including government, hospital, public laboratory, community care, and private industry. With over 20 years of experience in IT delivery and business development in both healthcare and the public sector, Ben has successfully led transformational programs and delivered solutions for a range of ministries and health organizations across Canada.

Ben’s mission is to showcase how CGI’s Health and Life Sciences teams excel in providing proven industry expertise, enabling our technology partners to improve patient outcomes through transformational IT.

Ben is a well-respected leader in the health technology community and serves on several boards. He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School.

Lars Goransson

Managing Director, IDC Canada

Lars Goransson is responsible for IDC’s Canadian operation as Managing Director. IDC Canada’s product and services offerings provide the Canadian IT community with market based research across the value continuum of budgeting & planning, marketing awareness and lead generation, and measurement and performance management. In addition to his role as Managing Director, Lars actively manages IDC Canada’s Custom Solutions group. IDC Canada’s Custom Solutions Group is responsible for managing large custom research projects and proprietary consulting activities with IDC’s clients.

J. Paul Haynes

President & COO, eSentire Inc.

J. Paul Haynes serves as President and Chief Operating Officer at Waterloo, Ontario-based eSentire, Inc., the market leader in Managed Detection and Response services for mid-sized enterprises. Based on operationalized threat hunting, eSentire has grown to over 650 customers in 50 countries served by nearly 450 dedicated employees in Canada, the US, Ireland and the UK. eSentire protects over $5 trillion AuM of all global alternative asset management funds, and is expanding aggressively into the legal, extractive, healthcare, technology and medium enterprise markets as well as augmenting enterprise security teams with threat hunting services. In my role I oversee all security operations, product management, research and development and customer care functions.

J. Paul is a subject-matter expert and frequently quoted in industry and national media on the topics of advanced threat management, insider threats, managed security services, competitive market analysis and enterprise risk mitigation. He is most noted for his ability to bridge complex technical issues to the enterprise security risks executives face on a 24X7x365 basis against sophisticated advanced threat adversaries. He is often invited to speak at large prime broker conferences in the alternative asset management market, as well as at executive conferences across a variety of critical infrastructure markets.

Prior to eSentire, he spent two decades starting, financing and selling a number of enterprise software businesses in energy, government, healthcare and engineering sectors.

Paul is a professional engineer and holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Engineering from the University of Guelph.

Anna Leon

Partner, Management Consulting, Tech Advisory and Digital Strategy, KPMG LLP, KPMG Canada

Anna is a Partner in KPMG’s Management Consulting practice, leading Tech Advisory and Digital Strategy for Public Sector across Canada. Anna has been providing advisory services to healthcare and public sector organizations for over 20 years, mainly focused digital solutions, managed services, and cloud to organizations such as the Ontario Provincial Government. Anna joined KPMG in Canada in 2021.

Anna leads KPMG’s digital transformation and technology advisory services for government entities which involve technical solutions, cloud, agile delivery, and managed services and back office transformations. She has completed a variety of advisory engagements including establishing strategic roadmaps, outsourced service delivery models, data centre transformation and optimization and cloud managed services. These have included large government entities, including Federal departments, Provincial Governments, and various municipal organizations.

Daniel Lunghi

Daniel has been involved in assisting large enterprise and public sector accounts and has engaged in strategy development to enhance operational efficiencies, business transformation and ultimately value creation. He is an accomplished Sales management leader, primary focus has been ongoing development of client facing integrated sales teams approach and go to market strategy, connected Empowering Digital Workplaces and the customer experience.

He currently leads the Public Sector Sales and Support organization.

During Daniel’s career, he has been successful in managing many enterprise level engagements from the contract development and implementation phase through to steady state account management operations for large Canadian governments customers such The Government of Ontario, The Province of British Columbia and numerous publicly funded organizations (Agencies, Healthcare, Municipal and Education).

In addition; Daniel was National Manager of Partnerships & Alliances, critical in the development of alliances with IBM Canada and involved in the development of the global alliance. During Daniel’s technology career, he has been successful in numerous implementations for clients such as: The Province of British Columbia, CIBC, TD Canada Trust, Rogers Communications Inc., TELUS Corporation, Siemens Canada, Province of New Brunswick.

Daniel resides in York Region with his wife and 3 children and is an active member of the community through coaching and volunteer work.

Mark Matheson

Mark Matheson has over twenty-five years experience within the IT Services Industry working for large multi-national companies including Accenture, IBM, and now Kyndryl.  Mark is the Vice-President for Federal Government and Eastern Public Sector for Kyndryl. In that capacity, he has accountability for P&L, customer satisfaction, and increasing market share.  Having successfully delivered some of the largest federal government and provincial government IT Services opportunities, Mark is a trusted advisor to his peers and his customers. Mark is bilingual and has Level III security clearance.

Colin McIsaac
