Ontario Health and MOH Announce Update to Provincial Funding Opportunities
Ontario Health is working together with the Ministry of Health to provide digital and virtual care funding opportunities to Ontario Health Teams (OHTs), in Development Teams and other eligible health care organizations. This funding is intended to support the recovery of the health system by increasing access to key services, transforming how care is delivered, and building OHT digital maturity.
This one-time funding will be administered by Ontario Health through a phased approach where OHTs, In Development Teams and other eligible health care organizations will be invited to submit funding proposals to support new or enhanced digital health and virtual care programs that align with the following priorities:
- Improving care navigation
- Increasing access to mental health and addictions services
- Enhancing care for target populations
- Improving care transitions
- Supporting surgical backlog recovery
- Improving health equity
- Transforming how care is delivered
OHTs are encouraged to work collaboratively to build integrated proposals that leverage the use of digital and virtual tools and align with best practices to optimize access to patient care and build a fairer, more integrated, and sustainable health system for everyone.
