Making Connected Care a Reality in Canada: Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework and CACDI

TECHNATION Health is pleased to announce the launch of the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework, Canadian Core Data for Interoperability (CACDI) and Open Review.

As part of the work and commitments outlined in the Working Together to Improve Health Care for Canadians Plan, Canada is implementing the Shared Pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap. This roadmap creates a vision for modern and person-centric health care that is digitally connected and privacy-protected by design.

The Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework (“Framework”), developed by CIHI, serves as a first pillar in advancing the Roadmap. The aim of the Framework is to establish a health data content standard in the context of a common data architecture, which defines the content and structure of the data to ensure health information is consistent and accurate across systems.

Key highlights of the presentation include:

  • Recap the Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework and its role in the Shared Pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap
  • Learn what the Canadian Core Data for Interoperability (CACDI) is and how it relates to Canada Health Infoway’s CA-CORE+ and US Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI)
  • Be informed about the Open Review on the Common Data Architecture
  • What’s next
