BIOS

Julie Souza leads the Global Sports Practice for AWS Professional Services, driving innovation in sports data (tracking, AI/ML/CV), virtualized production, direct-to-consumer interactivity and monetization, fan data and analytics, and smart venue solutions. Prior to joining AWS, Julie led Strategy and Business Development for Second Spectrum, the official data analytics partner of the NBA, EPL, MLS, and others. She held similar roles leading business development and driving strategy for ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and CBS Sports Network. Julie holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Humza Teherany is the Chief Technology and Digital Officer at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Humza has over 20 years of experience in driving Technology and Business Strategy, while directly contributing to both top and bottom-line results.

Humza’s organization at MLSE is responsible for digital strategy, technology,IT, mobile apps, data science and innovation – including our esports team and initiatives, Raptors Uprising Gaming Club and Leafs Gaming League. MLSE Digital Labs is now the largest and deepest technology and digital organization in professional sports.

Meaghan Mikkelson – After twelve seasons with the National Women’s Hockey Team, and starting a family with her husband Scott, Meaghan is currently balancing motherhood along with the demands of training as a national team athlete. With two gold medals from the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Winter Games, a silver medal from the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, a gold medal from the 2012 IIHF Women’s World Championships, and six silver medals from the 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, and 2017 IIHF Women’s World Championships, Meaghan aspires to represent Canada and win gold at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing. With these goals in mind, Meaghan continues to look for ways to improve as an athlete, an individual, and a “hockey mom”, and is excited to tackle the challenges that lie ahead. Hockey fans also know hr as the Calgary Flames analyst on SportsNet.
