Cited by media as ‘one of the people to watch in Ottawa in 2022’, Catherine Luelo was appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Canada in July 2021, assuming responsibility for delivering on Canada’s Digital Government Strategy, its Cloud First policy, and developing a successful AI strategy, amongst other high profile Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) priorities. She takes on her new role amidst the Prime Minister’s post-election cabinet shuffle which dropped the stand-alone Minister of Digital Government function, folding those responsibilities back under TBS President Mona Fortier, to whom Luelo now reports.
Please join TECHNATION for this candid dialogue with Canada’s CIO as she shares her forward agenda, plans and priorities for the road ahead, her vision for collaboration with the ICT sector to deliver on a digital government, and her prediction around a substantial digital leadership challenge in sorting out the right approach to the modern workplace.
