TECHNATION Welcomes Prateek Sureka as Executive Vice President, Government Relations and Strategy

MISSISSAUGA, ON (July 9, 2024) – TECHNATION is pleased to announce the appointment of Prateek (Pratt) Sureka as Executive Vice President, Government Relations and Strategy.

Pratt is an accomplished Government Relations and Innovation Policy leader with over 17 years of global experience in shaping tech and innovation ecosystems. He has made significant contributions to initiatives such as the Tech Talent Strategy, Elevate IP—Canada’s most extensive IP and commercialization program, and the development of Canada’s first accelerator under the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA). Pratt’s work has significantly contributed to increasing the US-Canada bilateral policy exchange on quantum computing and cybersecurity and advancing the digital economy through innovative policy advocacy.

Pratt’s extensive experience includes roles with the European Commission, the UK, and the US governments, where he has successfully driven policy modernization and secured substantial public investments in the tech sector. Recognized with the prestigious Franklin Award by the US Department of State, Pratt is known for his ability to build and sustain high-level stakeholder relationships. His expertise will be invaluable in strengthening TECHNATION’s mission to drive Canadian innovation and economic growth.
