Speaker Bio

Stephanie Oldfield
Director, Community Safety and Corrections Policy
Ministry of the Solicitor General, Ontario Public Service

Stephanie has worked in digital and data policy for the past 7 years, including as the Policy Manager at the former Ontario Digital Service and later as the Director of Digital and Data Policy. She led the development and implementation of Ontario’s Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence Framework, the Enhancing Digital Security and Trust Act, and many other digital policy frameworks, including the policy for Ontario’s first app. She was named one of the Top 100 Government AI Influencers by Apolitical in 2025 and teaches Digital Governance at McMaster University’s Master of Public Policy Program. Stephanie is currently the Director of Community Safety and Corrections Policy at the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
