Students are invited to participate in a national virtual competition exploring one of today’s most important digital questions: How can we make the information people encounter online more diverse, transparent, and equitable?
Participants will use real data to uncover how algorithms shape what different communities see, identify patterns in representation and information diversity, and explore how personalization can influence what we discover online. Then, turn your insights into a data-informed tool, strategy, or framework for creating a more open and inclusive digital information environment. Gain hands-on experience, build data storytelling and problem-solving skills, and compete for cash prizes and national recognition!
