TECHNATION has been collaborating with Government Information Technology Ontario (GovTechON) to design and co-host an event that brings industry and government together to identify technology enablers and collaborate for future resilience.

Mohammad Qureshi is the Corporate Chief Information Officer (CCIO) for Government Information Technology Ontario (GovTechON), leading an organization of 4000+ technologists to power the Government of Ontario’s goal to be the leading digital jurisdiction. With over 20 years in public service, his mission has remained the same: enable the public sector to harness the benefits of transformative technology and deliver better outcomes for people.
Joyce Drohan, Chief Artificial Intelligence & Technology Officer, Enterprise Digital and Technology Strategy, GovTechON
Joyce Drohan joined the OPS as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Enterprise Technology Strategy (ETS). A visionary leader with experience in IT strategic planning and implementation, Joyce has extensive experience leading large-scale transformation, most recently at Sanofi where she was the Chief Data Officer/Global Head of Data. Joyce brings executive leadership experience in a multi-stakeholder environment, previously holding roles as a Partner at Deloitte and PwC as well as senior executive at the UK Government.
Aklilu Tefera, Assistant Deputy Minister, Enterprise Data Stewardship, Policy, Archives and Data (PAD)
A leader in public sector data and service innovation with over 25 years of experience, Aklilu (Aki) Tefera serves as the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Government of Ontario’s Enterprise Data Stewardship Division, driving the enterprise data and analytics portfolio for the Ontario Public Service. Under Aki’s leadership, the Enterprise Data Stewardship Division focuses on the creation of a modern, robust, large-scale data ecosystem, developing the strategy and governance to enhance public sector service delivery through advanced analytics and insights.
