Position Location

The role is currently remote with expected hybrid return to office in future. Occasional travel or work from Office may be required

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance and serving as an integral member of the Finance team, the Accountant provides support to the busy finance department and assists the Director of Finance with varied accounting and finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and posting vendor invoices on an ongoing basis following the necessary approval process and budget allocations
  • Review and post Staff Expense Reports
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Post Expenses, receipts and Journal entries in QuickBooks under relevant cost centers
  • Providing financial information to management by researching, analyzing and summarizing accounting data and preparing reports.
  • Assisting with quarterly internal audits and annual external audits.
  • Other ad-hoc finance related tasks as defined by the Director of Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail along with sound knowledge of full cycle accounting and Quickbooks Online.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion or enrolment in Professional Qualification (e.g., CPA) desirable but not compulsory.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Office 365 applications and well-versed in IT.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
