The Ontario Government continues to support Ontario companies to recover and/or further develop their interprovincial and international markets as a means to get back to business. This includes 1-on-1 export advice, webinars focused on market/sector intelligence, and facilitation of international/interprovincial business connections. Sept. 15 (1 pm): Ontario AI & SaaS Global Sourcing Program: VCs $$$ Grupo Coppel (Mexico), Hike Ventures (US/Japan), Kanematsu Ventures (Japan/USA), Kayne Capital (US) and Goodyear Ventures (US)

Ontario technology companies are invited to take part in the Virtual Ontario AI & SaaS Global Sourcing Program focused on Venture Capitalists. The Global Sourcing Program is designed for large international corporations and investors interested in sourcing or doing business with leading-edge technology from Ontario, Canada.  Confirmed participants include Grupo Coppel (Mexico), Hike Ventures (USA/Japan), Kanematsu Ventures (Japan/USA), Kayne Capital (USA) and Goodyear Ventures (USA).  The program consists of a virtual afternoon seminar featuring the invited VCs and the type of companies they seek for investments. Sept. 16 (9:00 am EST) – Ontario-UK Cyber Security Innovation Forum

The government of Ontario, in partnership with techUK will host a virtual Cyber Security Innovation Forum focused on defence, which will feature pitches from 4 Ontario and 4 UK innovative cyber technology companies who will present to a panel of leading cyber defence procurers from Ontario and the United Kingdom.  Cyber security cooperation between Canada and the United Kingdom is already strong, and attendees will learn how the Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement (Canada-UK TCA) can further strengthen ties at the national strategic level and for the industry. Applications close end of day Friday August 27 and companies will be contacted by September 3rd, if selected. Sept. 16: ExportON!: Pitch Preparation Workshop

Ontario remains committed to creating opportunities for our business community to help them remain strong and get back up and running during these unprecedented times. As a part of this commitment, the Government of Ontario is offering a series of free webinars to help reboot your export business.   In this workshop designed to help you develop the all important “pitch presentation”, we begin with what is most important to your customers and business partners – focussing on how you communicate your features, benefits and value. We will build up your presentation and then break that down into a 15 second elevator pitch and a two minute coffee pitch. You can expect to leave with all the tools you need to make a lasting impression and differentiate yourself from the crowd.   The webinar will cover topics such as: Differentiation and Unique Selling Proposition, Identifying Your Brand Essence, Developing Multiple Pitch Formats. The Government of Ontario, in partnership with World Trade Centre Toronto (WTC-T), is accepting expressions of interest for an Ontario virtual Cleantech export business mission to Mexico, which will be held virtually between September 20-23rd.  Participating in the Ontario Cleantech virtual mission to Mexico 2021 will provide Ontario companies with an unparalleled platform to showcase their cutting-edge products and solutions, providing a unique opportunity for companies to connect with new clients and build business partnerships. This is a great marketing opportunity for Ontario companies to make international business connections. Sept. 24: BMW Group Quantum Computing Challenge

BMW Group in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), is looking for innovative quantum algorithms to address challenging problems in the automotive sector. The Quantum Computing Challenge will focus on four specific challenges where quantum computing could deliver an advantage over classical computing methods: Optimisation of sensor positions for automated driving functions, Simulation of material deformation in the production process, Optimisation of pre-production vehicle configuration, Machine Learning for automated quality assessment. Sept. 28: Apply for company pitching opportunity during Ontario-Germany Cybersecurity in Manufacturing event

During the upcoming Ontario-Germany Cybersecurity in Manufacturing event (September 28, 2021 – 9:00am-10:30am EST) hosted in collaboration to the German State of Baden-Wuerttemberg and Cyberforum Karlsruhe, there is a great opportunity for Ontario Cybersecurity companies with innovative solutions for the manufacturing sector to deliver a short 8 minute pitch to a European audience of potential clients and partners. Due to time restrictions, only 3 Ontario companies will be able to participate. Companies must be headquartered in Ontario, offer innovative cybersecurity solutions for the manufacturing sector, have at least one major client and be either already active in European markets or have Europe as a primary target market. Oct. 11-15: Automotive Technologies Export Business Mission to Germany and Austria

The Government of Ontario is organizing an automotive technologies export business mission to Germany and the ‘Moving On – Mobility Congress’ conference/trade event in Austria. This business mission will explore opportunities for multi-lateral collaboration to expand export opportunities. The mission will include meetings and pitch opportunities with OEMs and Tier 1s in Munich and Herzogenaurach as well as exhibition space at the ‘Moving On’ mobility congress in Graz, Austria. Nov. 3-17: ICT Export Business Mission to Brazil (Virtual)

Brazil is Latin America`s largest telecom and ICT market and is one of the world’s largest emerging ICT markets with annual expenditures of over US$120 billion, representing more than 46 per cent of the total ICT market in Latin America.
